Gerry Galloway

Hear directly from Gerry in his video.

Gerry Galloway grew up in an extended family with seven kids and a total of up to eleven. That’s where he learned the importance of taking care of each other, and it’s one of the driving reasons he believes in the importance of effective local government to benefit the community. Gerry’s a retired Pipefitter, a father, and a grandfather. He’s volunteered in many capacities, such as coaching youth soccer for seventeen years, as a Cub Scout Webelos Leader, and as President of the Oak Forest Jaycees. Gerry has served the Lisle Township Democratic Organization since 2016 – as a PC, PC Coordinator, LTDO Chair, a Team Leader, and has done much recruiting work and volunteering in other capacities.

Gerry Galloway sees running for the Office of Lisle Township Trustee with the Vote Lisle Twp Dems as mandatory. Gerry has been to the Township meetings and watched the videos. He listens to what the people want and need, and he sees what can be fixed and how. He thinks the Township Government should exist to support the community, as is possible. His goal is to bring services and support to the benefit of Lisle Township residents, similarly to other effective townships. Excuses are not tolerable.

Gerry Galloway is a problem-solver. As a Pipefitter, he’s worked in construction as a superintendent, a foreman, and with the tools. He also did service and repair, estimating, and sales. He was the go-to guy for tough jobs. Detail-oriented and patient, he would design and perform diagnostic and repair procedures to solve and fix the most challenging problems.

Gerry Galloway is a serious person. He ran for Township Clerk in 2017 to fill a spot on the ballot. That’s when he read nine years’ worth of minutes, studied the financials, and attended Township meetings to prepare. Gerry loves the community and its people and will work with the Vote Lisle Township Dems slate to make Lisle Township a better place for all of us!
